The 30 Day Challenge:

Because our North American Culture relies so heavily on sugar, our bodies have quickly learned to adapt. We now crave and rely on sugar and anything that quickly turns to sugar (carbs and fruit). It seems we can't go a day (and for some an hour) without having some for of a quick pick-me-up.

So to "hit the reset button" so to speak, we are going to change things up by eliminating sugar from our life!
How to:
1. NO Sugar: this includes all real and fake sugar forms (no Splenda!, or aspartame, or even raw sugar)
2. NO Grains: not even healthy grains because these things turn to sugar
3. NO Fruit: lets be real... if i can't have sugar I would be pounding back the fruit as a "healthy substitute". You are however, allowed 1 green apple OR a hand full of berries per day, as they are low enough in the glycemic index to do any harm.
4. EAT Protein: between 15-25g.
5. EAT Healthy Fats: we are talking the good stuff, like butter (not margerine) and olive oil, coconut oil, and grapeseed oil (not corn, vegetable, or soy).

The idea: you want your body to learn to run off of good fats like it was created to do and start revving up that metabolism instead of running off of sugar spikes.

For 30 days you do this, and then start slowly introducing back whole grains and fruits in moderation. But keep avoiding the white stuff (both sugar and white flower), you know it ain't any good for you anyway!
